Summer skiing in Val d’Isère closed on Sunday 18 July. National ski teams, local school children and ski lovers enjoyed four weeks of excellent summer conditions on the glacier. The French ski team was there for a whole month. (John Yates-Smith, YSE)   YSE

Chamonix Monday morning eZAP - the 2009/10 season ended on a high at Grands Montets yesterday with fresh powder up top and no one around. However, the Aguille du Midi is open throughout the year so it's always possible to get some snow action in Cham.   Chamonet

Val d'Isere Saturday morning eZAP - Val is closed but neighbour Tignes has blue skies with just a few clouds but plenty of fresh snow for the last 2 days of the season. Tignes closes tomorrow May 9.   SkiZAP
