Summer skiing in Val d’Isère closed on Sunday 18 July. National ski teams, local school children and ski lovers enjoyed four weeks of excellent summer conditions on the glacier. The French ski team was there for a whole month. (John Yates-Smith, YSE) YSE |

2009/10 - Val d’Isère really showed this winter why so many people hardly bother to ski anywhere else. The snow was fantastic right up until the end, on 2 May. The pistes were better groomed than ever, and neither the slopes nor the lifts felt crowded. John Yates-Smith |
